What This Initiative Is About — and How to Join

“We Support Locals” is an initiative by the Vis in Unitate Foundation. Our goal is to provide basic digital support to small producers, artisans, craftspeople, and family-run workshops — helping them have their own space online.

This is our way of appreciating those who create real value — with their hands, with care, and in their own rhythm. No pressure, no complicated tech talk, no sales pitches. If you make, bake, repair, sew, grow, or build something — and want to be visible online — we’re here to help you start.

What We Offer

Over the course of 12 months, we will:

  • Create a website for you, host it on our servers, and ensure it runs smoothly for one year;

  • Teach you step by step how to update your website yourself — including adding photos and writing about your work;

  • Help you build a simple visual identity: logo, color palette, and layout — if you don’t already have one;

  • Support your first posts on social media (e.g. Facebook), using content you provide;

  • Set up basic contact or sales tools, if you want to offer your products or services online.

What You Should Know

  • Each application is reviewed individually. We reserve the right to accept or decline participation without explanation, or to end the collaboration if we identify legal violations or unethical conduct.

  • After 12 months, we will hand over everything we created — your website, logo, texts, images, and access credentials. You will need to move the website to another hosting provider, as we do not store sites beyond the agreed period. Our resources are limited, and we don’t offer long-term storage.

  • We do not take part in financial transactions, do not sell your products, and do not manage your social media. However, we can help set up the tools you choose to use yourself.

What We Do Not Do

We do not:

  • create websites for political, religious, or controversial topics;

  • support businesses involving gambling, alcohol, tobacco, or financial schemes;

  • promote unverified medical or "healing" services;

  • run paid advertising campaigns;

  • manage social media accounts on your behalf;

  • offer legal, tax, or business registration services;

  • get involved in production, order processing, or delivery.

How to Apply

To apply, send an email to kontakt@visinunitate.org
Subject: Application — “We Support Local Makers” Initiative

In your message, briefly tell us:

  • What you do — what you create, produce, or what kind of service you provide;

  • What kind of support you need — a website, visual identity, help with posts, or all of the above.

We reply to every message. If your project aligns with the spirit of this initiative, we’ll get in touch and walk through the next steps together.

We don’t promise more than we can deliver. But what we do promise — we carry out with honesty and respect.
Because every honest effort deserves to be seen.
