What This Initiative Is About — and How to Join

"We Support Locals" is an initiative of the Vis in Unitate Foundation, created for small producers, artisans, handcrafters, and family-run workshops who want to have a presence online.

It’s our way of supporting those who make real things — with their own hands, with heart, and at their own pace. No complicated words, no pressure, no pushy tactics. If you create, bake, sew, repair, or grow something — and want to be seen — we can help you get started.

What we offer
As part of our 12-month support:

  • we will create a website and host it on our servers for one year;

  • we will teach you step by step how to update content, add photos, and describe your work;

  • we’ll help design a simple visual identity: logo, colors, layout — if you don’t already have one;

  • we can assist with your first social media posts (e.g. Facebook), using your materials;

  • if needed, we’ll help set up basic contact or sales tools.

What to know
Each application is reviewed individually. We reserve the right to decline or end cooperation without explanation, especially if legal or ethical standards are violated.

At the end of the 12-month period, we hand everything over to you: the website, logo, content, photos, and access credentials. You are responsible for moving the site to your own server. We do not store websites beyond the support period due to limited resources.

We do not handle sales, manage your social media, or process transactions — but we can help you configure the tools you choose to use.

What we don’t do

  • we do not create websites with political, religious, or controversial content;

  • we do not work with gambling, alcohol, tobacco, or financial schemes;

  • we do not promote unproven medical or pseudoscientific services;

  • we do not run paid advertising;

  • we do not manage your social media accounts;

  • we do not provide legal or tax advice;

  • we do not take part in production, shipping, or order fulfillment.

How to join
The "We Support Locals" initiative operates through open calls announced in separate editions. In each edition, we select a limited number of participants to receive free support.

After the application deadline, we contact only the selected participants. If your work fits the spirit of this initiative — we’ll plan the next steps together.

We don’t promise more than we can deliver. But what we do promise — we fulfill honestly and respectfully.
Because every honest craft deserves to be seen.
